Almonds Flour 250g
Almond flour has a nutritional advantage over many processed flours in that it contains the same nutritional profile of the almonds. Whole almonds have more nutrients per serving than any other walnut. There are two main types of almond flour: white and brown. The first is obtained when, before grinding, the brown rind is removed. Compared to other types of flour, almond flour is rich in nutritional values, it is high in protein, low in carbohydrates and low in sugar. Almond flour is an excellent source of vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant used to protect cells from harmful free radicals and help the immune system function.
A cup of almond flour provides 40 per cent of the recommended intake of vitamin E. Almond flour is also a good source of folic acid of B vitamins and niacin. In addition, almond flour also contains some very important minerals for bone health, including calcium, phosphorus, potassium and zinc. A quarter cup of almond flour provides almost 7 per cent of the recommended daily allowance for calcium.
